SEAS GIVEN AS SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT...WHICH IS THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST 1/3 OF THE WAVES. INDIVIDUAL WAVES MAY BE MORE THAN TWICE THE SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT.

SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS... A STRONG COLD FRONT JUST OFFSHORE WILL QUICKLY PASS SE OF THE WATERS TONIGHT. A STRONG HIGH PRES RIDGE WILL SLOWLY BUILD IN FROM THE W FRI THROUGH SAT WHILE A SERIES OF LOW PRES TROUGHS PASS SE ACROSS THE WATERS. THE HIGH PRES RIDGE WILL REACH THE COAST SAT NIGHT...MOVE OFFSHORE SUN...THEN PASS NE OF THE AREA SUN NIGHT WHILE A WARM FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE S. THE FRONT WILL STALL ACROSS THE FAR SRN WATERS MON INTO MON NIGHT WHILE A DEVELOPING LOW PASSES E ALONG THE FRONT. THE FRONT WILL THEN SHIFT S OF THE AREA AS A COLD FRONT TUE...FOLLOWED BY A HIGH PRES RIDGE BUILDING OFFSHORE LATE TUE INTO TUE NIGHT.
