SEAS GIVEN AS SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT, WHICH IS THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST 1/3 OF THE WAVES. INDIVIDUAL WAVES MAY BE MORE THAN TWICE THE SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT.

SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS... LOW PRESSURE OVER NORTHERN MAINE THIS AFTERNOON WILL MOVE WELL N OF THE AREA TONIGHT. A COLD FRONT OVER FAR E PORTION WILL MOVE E OF THE WATERS THIS EVENING. ANOTHER WEAK COLD FRONT WILL PASS ACROSS THE AREA TONIGHT. A WEAK HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL PASS QUICKLY NE OVER THE AREA EARLY FRI. WEAK LOW PRESSURE WILL APPROACH FROM THE SW AND REACH LONG ISLAND BY LATE FRI, CAPE COD FRI NIGHT AND NE MAINE EARLY SAT. THE LOW WILL PULL A WEAK COLD FRONT E OVER THE WATERS FRI NIGHT INTO SAT. A SERIES OF COLD FRONTS WILL CROSS THE WATERS SAT NIGHT INTO EARLY MON AS THE LOW STALLS OVER MAINE. A LARGE HIGH PRESSURE AREA WILL BUILD TO THE SW OF THE REGION SUN NIGHT, THEN PASS S OF THE WATERS MON THROUGH TUE NIGHT.
